About
The Full Story
As a young girl, I would often find myself day dreaming about my prince, like the ones you see in the Disney movies and read about in the story books. The prince that sweeps in with a bold romantic gesture and takes you to a place that is beautiful.
As I grew older years and in my walk with the Lord, I began to have the same attitude about being rescued by the Prince of Peace. That He would whisk me away from this world and into heaven. The Lord began to reveal to me that I was not waiting to be rescued, rather, that I am, in fact, ALREADY RESCUED. When Jesus cried from the cross, “it is finished”, He gave us our rescue story and is waiting for us to partner with Him to accomplish our part of the story here on the Earth.
Maybe you are like me, and for a long time had the mentality that we were just waiting to be rescued out of this world, holding on, hoping to make it. Like Rapunzel in the tower or Cinderella slaving away, hoping someone would come along and decide we are worthy to escape the troubles of this world. Holy Spirit has shown me that I am not waiting to be rescued, I am not a princess who has been slighted, waiting on my prince. I am already rescued. Galatians 1:4 says that we are saved from this present (right now) evil world. Our king has come and our chains have been broken. Our release was negotiated and accomplished. Our goal is to show forth our Lord and Savior in the rescue He provided over 2000 years ago on the cross.
We must come to a place where we live from the abundance of life (Zoe) provided through Christ as we labor with Him to rule as the ekklesia, the Church. We are called, as those who have been rescued, to pull down His kingdom from heaven, to Earth thus fulfilling his commission and commands. We are no longer servants, but sons and daughters.
We are Already Rescued!
