30 Days

I wrote this last year, but it still significant!!

Last week, I was thinking how Easter is just about 30 Days away. It’s one of my favorite times of the year and I love to go through the time frame and events leading up to Holy week. I couldn’t help but think 30 Days sure changed a lot.

This same time frame a little over 2000 years ago, Jesus walked the earth as man and God, Lazarus was dead. His sisters confused and hurt. Jesus was late. Religious leaders had overtaken the temple and turned it into a den of thieves. The levites/priests, Scribes and Pharisees were colluding with the Roman's to kill Christ. Judas was holding a Grudge.

But 30 days from that, Jesus was resurrected from the dead. He had conquered death, hell and the grave. He paved the way for you and I to receive grace. He brought Isaiah 53 to life. (Go read this scripture. It’s beautiful!).

This same time of year, 3500 ish years ago, the Israelites were still in bondage and stuck in slavery to Egypt. The Israelites would be about half way through the plagues. Pharaoh was being relentless and refusing to back down. He was the enemy of freedom for the Israelites and continued to make them miserable. But 30 days from that moment, they were putting on their running shoes, taking all they could carry, and slaying a lamb to put over their doorposts so the death angel would pass over. A few days after that, the Red Sea parted and they walked through on dry land.

30 days sure changed a lot!!

If you find yourself ready to give up or if feelings of desperation are flooding your soul…..ask yourself, what will this look like in 30 days? I know life can be hard and I know it is easy to worry. Even the most perfect of saints have faced difficult circumstances. Life may look impossible right now. But what will life look like in 30 Days? Your Red Sea moment could be days away. That situation will be turned around. You could conquer and overcome that problem through the resurrection power of Jesus. What answers will you have in 30 Days?

The story I will tell is that 30 days sure change a lot!
