A few weeks back, I was singing a song with one of the littles. It was a song I sang in church as a small child. 🎶This little light of mine🎶. When I got to the place in the song, “hide it under a bushel”, I heard Holy Spirit whisper, “you have a bushel.”

I have some prayers in my life that are near and dear to my heart….Things that I seek God about daily, 5 times a day, some days continually. These are things that I see as imperative to my life, my children’s life, my marriage, my future, my journey with Him.

I am Barabbas. Maybe not today or in this particular moment, but it’s a role I am familiar with. Who is Barabbas? He was the guilty one. His crimes many, his heart not right. His history was ugly and scarred.

Are you Judas? I am Judas. Maybe not today or in this moment, but I have been Judas many times in my life and I’m sure I will be at some point again. I sell Jesus out. I don’t sell Him out for silver but nonetheless, I have sold him out. Gossip, anger, emotion, to be right, unforgiveness, bitterness, self righteousness…and when I do, I know. Judas knew….we read the memes that say “Jesus knew and He still washed Judas’ Feet” and that’s awesome.
